Sisters

Sisters, dear sisters.
Long, lithe sisters of energy tightly wound
Let us dance around the fire, sororal blood-bound
Deliciously pendulous breasted curves of the earth,
Throw back your arms and drink in the love of the universe
Sing of your marks, your pain, your valiant scars
Your soul perfection, your body made of stars

Let us come together in righteous glory
Nurse each others’ wounds
Our wild tresses unfurled
For we alone stand astride worlds
Let primordial rivers of life flow down our thighs
and sink into the fertile soil between our toes
Transition is ours and the time for change is upon us
For our mother needs us now, more than ever.

Put down your shields, they were never yours anyway
None can question your worth.
You are round, you are made of this earth.
You are thin, you are made of this earth.
You were born a male, you are made of this earth.
You were born loving women, you are made of this earth.
You have made life, you are made of this earth.
You give love without giving life, you are made of this earth.

You are my sister. And I love you. And we are made of this earth.
